Ranga Pura Vihara, composed by Sri Muthuswamy Dikshitar, is a devotional tribute to Sri Ranganatha Swamy of Tiruchirappalli. The song describes Sri Rama residing in Rangapura with the Kodanda bow and praises Lord Vishnu as the father of Kamadeva, weaving in the divine episode of Gajendra Moksha. Dikshitar envisions the Lord with the moon and sun as His eyes, reclining on Adishesha, dispelling desires, and blessing devotees. The composition is set in the ragam Vrindavana Saranga and the talam Rupaka.

Pallavi means elaboration and is a pure dance item characterized by movements of lyrical grace and expressive beauty. It is based on a melodic framework (raga) that is soft, lilting, and melodious, creating a harmonious blend of music and movement. The dance unfolds through intricate and graceful passages that run parallel with rhythmic syllables sung musically, showcasing both the dancer’s skill and the raga’s charm. This Pallavi is set in Raga Khamaj and Taal Ek Tali.

Shiv Stuti is a devotional piece dedicated to Lord Shiva, the cosmic dancer Nataraja. It beautifully blends graceful abhinaya (expression) with powerful, rhythmic tatkar, as the dancer portrays Shiva’s divine Tandava-the dance of creation and destruction - honoring Him as both the destroyer and the bestower of bliss through expressive gestures and dynamic footwork. Taal Dhamaar is a rhythmic composition set to a 14-beat cycle, showcasing intricate tatkar(footwork), parans, tukras, and amad(entry piece), all performed with precision and synchronization to the complex rhythmic structure of Taal Dhamar.

Thakkuvemi Manaku is a melodious and uplifting composition written and composed by the revered poet-saint Ramadasu, an ardent devotee of Lord Rama. In this piece, the poet joyfully proclaims that nothing is lacking when the Lord is with us, expressing unwavering faith in Lord Vishnu, who assumed the ten incarnations (Dasavatara) to uphold righteousness (dharma) and vanquish evil (adharma). This soulful composition is set in Ragam Saurashtra and Adi Talam.

Mata Kalika is a powerful Bharatanatyam presentation celebrating the fierce and protective form of the Divine Mother. Known for Her strength, courage, and unyielding energy, Goddess Kalika symbolizes the destruction of negativity and the triumph of righteousness. This piece portrays Her dynamic spirit through vigorous footwork, sharp movements, and expressive abhinaya that reflect both her ferocity and compassion. The choreography highlights Kalika’s role as the guardian of the universe—fearless, nurturing, and ever watchful over Her devotees. Through rhythmic sequences and emotive storytelling, the dancers invoke Her Shakti, offering a tribute to the eternal power of the Mother Goddess.

This dance is a tribute to the Lord of Dance, Nataraja—Lord Shiva, the greatest among gods. He is the dispeller and destroyer of doubts and difficulties, the embodiment of cosmic power and grace. His matted locks cradle the sacred river Ganga, and he adorns the crescent moon upon his head. To save the world, he selflessly swallows the deadly poison, turning his throat blue and earning the name Neelakantha. As the supreme ruler of the universe, his celestial dance of Tandava symbolizes the eternal cycle of creation, preservation, and destruction—wherein everything is ultimately dissolved into divine nothingness.
-- Performed by Orissa Dance Academy, Bhubaneswar
Rudrama, inspired by the legendary warrior queen Rudrama Devi of the Kakatiya dynasty, is a powerful choreography by Deepika Reddy celebrating the queen’s courage, leadership, and indomitable spirit. Raised as a son by King Ganapati Deva, Rudrama Devi remains one of the few women in Indian history to have ruled as a monarch. The choreography captures her royal heritage, valor, skill in horse riding, and mastery with the sword, along with her deep devotion to Goddess Bhadrakali—the fierce embodiment of power and protection. The lyrics are by Shri Vaddepalli Krishna, with music composed by Shri D. S. V. Sastry. The piece is set to Samudra Priya and Dhenuka Raagam, and Adi and Khandachapu Talam.
-- Performed by Deepanjali School For Excellence, Hyderabad
Thillana (Mohiniyattam) is a vibrant and graceful finale piece that showcases the lyrical beauty and rhythmic elegance of the Mohiniyattam tradition. Known for its intricate footwork, flowing movements, and gentle swaying of the torso, the Thillana highlights pure dance at its finest. The composition blends delicate rhythmic patterns with expressive charm, celebrating joy, devotion, and artistic finesse. The dancers bring alive the signature lasya of Mohiniyattam through fluid lines, soft curves, and precise rhythmic syllables, offering a refined conclusion that reflects both technical mastery and aesthetic grace.
-- Performed by Kalamandalam Prasheeja Gopinadh Dance Academy, Thrissur
Tarana in Kathak is a vibrant composition that unites the melodic beauty of a raag with dynamic rhythmic footwork and swift spins, using unique, non-lexical syllables to evoke a sense of exhilaration and speed. Sargam, on the other hand, is composed using the musical notes Sa, Re, Ga, Ma, Pa, Dha, Ni, Sa, allowing the dancer to seamlessly merge melody with rhythm, progressing from simple note patterns to intricate and precise rhythmic sequences that culminate in a powerful climax.
