About the Performer

Karunya Umeshkumar is a passionate classical dancer from Kerala, who has been active in the field of Indian classical dance for over 13 years. A graduate of Kerala Kalamandalam (Deemed University) with a B.A. in Mohiniyattam, she has developed a strong foundation in classical technique and aesthetics. Currently pursuing her Master’s in Kuchipudi at the Central University of Hyderabad, Karunya continues to refine her art under the guidance of distinguished mentors. She has performed extensively across Kerala and on national platforms such as the Delhi Sangeet Natak Akademi and Hyderabad dance festivals, earning appreciation for her poise, grace, and expressive depth. Her performances reflect a seamless blend of devotion, discipline, and artistry, making her a promising young talent in the world of Indian classical dance.
