About the Performer

Guru Ranjan Kathak is the Founder and Director of Arpan Kal Kendra and the creator of Ranjan Kathak. A distinguished Doordarshan artist, he has performed extensively across India and abroad, representing Indian classical dance on global platforms. He served as a teacher for several years in Moscow, Russia, contributing to the international spread of Kathak. Under his leadership, Arpan Kal Kendra has performed in numerous prestigious festivals, including the Taj Festival (Agra), Kathak Mahotsav (New Delhi), Commonwealth Games (New Delhi), Chaman Lal Festival with Shri R.K. Dhingra (New Delhi), Konark Festival (Odisha), Elephanta Festival (Mumbai), Kumbhalgarh Festival (Udaipur), Aurangabad Festival, Geeta Jayanti Mahotsav (Kurukshetra), Pune Festival (Maharashtra), Shimla Summer Festival, Surajkund Mela (Delhi), Rabindranath Tagore Jayanti (Kolkata), Guru Vayu Temple Festival, Run Mahotsav (Gujarat), and Rajiv Kumbh Mela (Raipur), among others.
